So you want to buy a new home? Great! One of the first questions you will get asked by a Realtor these days is, "Are you already pre-qualified?" Don't be offended. It isn't that they are asking because if not, they don't want to work with you. I think that's a huge misconception. They are asking because they know sellers are asking, and often not accepting offers until they get a pre-qual letter. It's a safe guard for them and it's good for a buyer to have already had that talk and know what they may qualify for and potentially what they may need to ask a seller for closing costs etc.
And if you aren't, don't be discouraged! Any Realtor worth their salt will know several lenders (likely local ones) that can help you out and get that process going quick so if you find that dream home, you can offer quick and strong!
That's it for today - thank you for reading!
