It's that time of year - Spring has sprung, and the buyers are out in droves looking for the perfect home and in direct competition with each other for that perfect yard and great entertaining space. I'm not joking. Things are tense and I've already seen a few multiple offer situations (see my video on #TheRealtorDiaries page).
If you are looking, and it does depend on your price range, but just know that our market is picking up. There are more listings, true, especially when compared with the cold months of December and January. There are also more buyers flooding the market, however, and that can lead to some tense multiple offer situations and sometimes disappointment if you aren't the party whose offer is accepted.
Do not give up though. Realtors in this market understand how the market is, and any good one will make time to show you the houses you like AS SOON AS THEY BECOME available - because they should understand what it feels like to buy that home, especially if there is competition.
Stay positive and vigilant! The internet has given us so much power when it comes to immediate gratification and notification. So, if you see something you like, do not be afraid to see it quickly and offer just as fast. If the listing agent has priced it well, they may even be hoping for a bidding war. Make your offer strong and serious and you will get good results. With this market, it doesn't pay to take a chance and not be strong. Be strong, interests rates are climbing and now is the time to buy, buy, buy!
